Mary, Jane, and Lucy take you back to the Summer of Love.
Introducing you to three boomer chicks from the sixties, Mary, Jane, and Lucy.
I will conduct an interview with these three aging children from the sixties. Three best friends from high school who thought the days of struggle were over but found out differently when Donald Trump took office in 2017. Would you like to know more? Well, I will ask Mary, Jane, or Lucy some questions. Losing the boomer blues wasn’t easy. Aging was hard enough but then along came Trump. The boat was suddenly filling up with millions of boomers feeling bluesy right along with them. If you read my books you’ll understand what my characters are fired up about at this moment in time. They feel all this political craziness is due to Trump and the GOP claiming he won the 2020 election. Voter fraud? Lies? The chicks think Trump wants to destroy our democracy and become a dictator. They will explain how afraid they are but they are hoping beyond hope that White Supremacists and Religious Nationalists don’t sell their freedom down the river.
Hello: I am a writer who directs your attention to life in the 'now'. My most recent masterpiece is Losing the Boomer Blues. This whimsical story is about 3 old friends traveling back in time to lose their boomer blues. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and fell in love with writing at a very early age. I have written many short stories and poems down through the years. I've won awards but more than that I have won the hearts of my readers. I became a member of the Oakland Art Association in the late '90s and devoted many years to creating collage art but never stopped writing. I decided to start writing Losing the Boomer Blues in 2016 and finished writing it in August of 2018. It was with great pride that I self-published it in October of 2018. This charming story appeals not only to my baby boomer counterparts but to those of all ages who find the Summer of Love a quest for peace, freedom, and equality. The struggle for unity will never die. We are the United States. Divided is an impossibility.
