Mary Lanza was born in Oakland, California, in 1949. She was inspired to write Losing the Boomer Blues while living in San Francisco. She is a collage artist, poet, and writer. Currently, she resides in Silicon Valley. She is a former member of the Oakland Art Association, and her collage art has been displayed throughout the Bay Area, including at Expressions Gallery in Berkeley, California. Losing the Boomer Blues, Boomer Chicks, and Boomer Chicks Mask Up celebrates the Love Generation’s struggles and victories. It inspires future generations to believe in the truth and never stop fighting for freedom, democracy, justice, equality, and love.
